This year’s Liverpool John Moores MA Film festival opens online this Friday.
The film festival was first established in 2021 by MA students as part of their studies, and showcases outstanding student films from around the world.
It also sees a redesign of the Paper Bird Award by Ivan Mack.
The 2024 programme features 36 films from 21 countries, with student filmmakers competing for the Paper Bird Award in the categories, including Documentary, Animation, Fiction and Experimental as well as the Audience Paper Bird Award.
Both online and in-person viewers are able to vote for their favourite film through the website, with the most popular one being crowned in the award ceremony.
To attend the festival is free to access in person or online.
Those who wish to attend the screening event, Q&A with the filmmakers or the Awards Ceremony can sign up at: https://ljmumashortfilmfestival.org/live-screening-sign-up/
