Calling all Beatles fans – the Fab Four are finally getting the biopic treatment they deserve with the news that a series of films are being made about the lives of the lads from Liverpool.

Sony Pictures announced the commissioning of the films with Oscar Award winner Sam Mendes directing the project.

Each of the four movies will delve in-depth into the lives of each member of the iconic band, navigating the enormous successes each of them experienced.

While casting of the films have yet to be confirmed, rumours have been swirling social media about potential actors.

Benedict Cumberbatch and Aaron Taylor-Johnson have been rumoured for the role of John Lennon, along with Robert Pattison for the role of Paul McCartney.

Filming of the films is expected to start in 2025 with a release date target of 2027.

Beatles fans in Liverpool should shore be excited with the City that birthed the group expected to play a central character in these films capturing the energy of the early days of the iconic Cavern Club.
