Chines lanterns hanging on Bold Street for the year of the dragon.

Last weekend saw people in Liverpool celebrating Chinese new year with various locations decorated to commemorate the year of the dragon.

The iconic Bombed Out Church was lit with various images from the ground with people queueing all the way up Hardman Street to get inside and celebrate the occasion.

Even more decorations were on display on Bold Street on Sunday with Chinese lanterns hanging overhead along the Ropewalks with an LED sign reading “2024 Year of the Dragon”.

Bold Street also saw a dragon walk over the weekend with other areas of the city such as the Albert Dock and Liverpool ONE hosting celebrations and festivities.
