FormatGG, Europe’s largest games industry nightlife event, is taking over Liverpool in September.

Get ready for a warehouse takeover in Camp and Furnace, filled with gaming, live music performances, food and drink on September 25-27.

FormatGG are Europe’s biggest nightlife movement that acts as a platform for gamers and non-gamers alike who are leading a revolution throughout the UK uniting gamers, game makers, and creators.

Since its humble beginnings as a small meetup for gamers and game developers in Manchester’s Northern Quarter, FormatGG has grown into a powerhouse event, drawing in top brands, studios, and gamers by the thousands.

Format are proud to announce that they will be working closely with Growth Platform over the course of 2024 to shape the festival for the local market and help bring light to the growing Liverpool game development scene.

Helen Cross, creative and digital cluster manager at Growth Platform said: “I am delighted that Liverpool gets to host Format – Europe’s largest games industry nightlife event next year. The festival’s line-up features three separate evenings of events:

  • RE: FORMAT: This exclusive VIP function serves as a platform for international delegates, industry leaders, investors, sponsors, and press to come together for an evening of business network, forming meaningful business connections.
  • FORMAT: The Ultimate Gaming social: This is the main event where you can get your hands on the latest games and technology releases and enjoy live music performances whilst eating good food.
  • FORMAT: After Hours: The official after-party where you can kick back and hang out with fellow gamers to continue the festivities until the early hours.

Early bird tickets for Format Liverpool completely sold out after just over two hours of going on sale. So, whether you’re a hardcore gamer, a casual player, or just someone who loves a good time, mark your calendars and grab a ticket before it sells out.
