NHS Cheshire and Merseyside are urging people to get their winter jabs before Christmas with only eleven days remaining until online registration close.

As of Friday, more than 530,000 COVID-19 and 700,000 flu vaccinations have been administered across Cheshire and Merseyside.

Vaccines are the best way to help people protect themselves and their families from any viruses and make Christmas more enjoyable and protect their health for the future.

The NHS say it is still crucial to get the vaccine for COVID-19 even if you have been previously vaccinated.

This is because immunity fades over time so a new vaccine will help make sure that you are fully protected from any future viruses.

More than 366,000 over-65s in the region have received their COVID-19 jab, but there are still thousands of people who can receive their jabs to protect themselves and their families.

Staff are continuing to deliver vaccines across the region a pop up sites and inside local pharmacies and on the Living Well Bus which travels across the region.

People have until January 31 to keep booking their vaccines. After that, they will have to wait until the next seasonal campaign comes around.
