Homotopia Festival is back again for another year of fun and fabulousness. This year ‘Gods and Monsters’ is the 20th edition of the festival, and is here to help put the spotlight back on the LGBTQ+ community in Liverpool.

Homotopia was launched in 2004 in an attempt to help Liverpool to become the European Capital of Culture and over 2,500 people attended the festival in its first year.

The festival kicks off on November 11 with the ‘Clash of the Titans Opening Party’, where Fist Club are bringing their own version of ‘violent pantomime’ to the stage.

Homotopia is an organisation based in Liverpool which focuses on social injustice affecting the LGBTQ+ community.

Fist Club are a London based cabaret who merge drag and wrestling into an unforgettable experience. They have the same aim as the Homotopia Festival – to bring the community together and enjoy themselves exactly how they wish.

This is their first ever partnership with Homotopia, and Liverpool welcomed them with open arms.

The festival spreads across the month of November and will hold host to acts such as ‘How to Catch a Pig’, David Hoyle, and Bernice Mulenga.
