It’s LJMU’s Wellbeing Week, five days dedicated to the health and wellness of students and staff alike.

The week is packed with activities and workshops that everyone is invited to, with different events set aside for just staff.

From exercise activities such as badminton, guided walks and self-defence to mindfulness tasks for example, doodling, writing or flower arranging.

The LJMU Wellbeing team said:

“Our focus is on providing information, choices and support which help staff and students to make the right decisions for them and their self-care.”

These activities and events will be open until March 11. Although, many of the events still take place year-long.

The team have also released a Student Lifestyle and Health survey designed to ask questions about student wellbeing.

The survey is available via this link.

Those who participate in the survey will be entered into a prize draw, the prizes include high street vouchers: ‘1 x £500 voucher, 5 x £100 vouchers, and 20 x £25 vouchers’.

Tomorrow, they are providing free ‘wellbeing goodie bags’ at the Student Life Building on Mount Pleasant, but be quick they’re on a ‘When they’re gone they’re gone’ basis!

As well as this, they are running a ‘Desk Yoga’ event, delivered by YinYan.

Participants will be guided through a series of easy-to-follow stretches that can be done anywhere to get the body moving, improve strength and flexibility and
boost energy levels.

Both staff and students are encouraged to join, booking is available through LibCal.

The ‘#FindYourSpace’ campaign is running from the March 7-11, full details are available on the LJMU Student Wellbeing site.
