Take a walk down to the World Heritage site that is the Albert Dock. You and your valentine can take in the scenery and the crisp Mersey air. The Dock has plenty of food on offer if you get a bit peckish or why not visit the Tate where select exhibitions are free.

Over the valentines weekend you and your date can wrap up warm and snuggle up in front of a classic romantic movie. Across three nights, the Bombed Out Church is hosting an open air cinema showing Romeo and Juliet, The Bodyguard and Casablanca. Tickets are £12.40 per person and can be booked here.

Take in the spectacular views of the city by visiting Liverpool Cathedral. You and your date can climb up the steps to the top of the tower for a picture-perfect moment together. Tickets cost £6 and can be brought online or inside the cathedral.

 

 

A Seaside Walk

To escape the city life, take a short trip on the Merseyrail to Crosby where you can stroll along the sandy beach. It’s the perfect chance to unwind with your valentine while walking between the famous Anthony Gormley statues. You can catch the train from Central station for £4.30 return or £2.85 with a railcard.

 

 

Take a ferry across the Mersey

If you fancy sailing away with your date, take a ride on the Mersey Ferry. You will be able to view the iconic city skyline whilst listening to the audio guide which will inform you of all the history Liverpool has to offer. There’s even a café on board to buy tea and coffee to keep you warm. Tickets are £11 for a River Explorer Cruise.

 

 

Visit Liverpool’s Museums

Spend the day indoors exploring all the museums around the city. You can visit the World Museum, Walker Art Gallery and the Museum of Liverpool all for free which makes the ideal date for those wanting to learn more about the world and the city we live in.

 

A Trip Down to the Cavern Club

Love Me Do! Spend your valentines singing and dancing the night away to all the popular Beatles songs at the Cavern Club. There is live music throughout the day and prices range from free before 12pm, £2.50 till 8pm and £5 for the night.

Get the bus over to Sefton park for a romantic walk in the fresh air. You and your date can stroll around the large park or maybe even take a picnic. Make sure to stop off at Lark Lane on the way back to explore the quirky shops and cosy pubs.
