A man in Bottle has been charged after police raided a property at midnight (February 16).

A 52-year-old has now been charged following the discovery of a firearm, ammunition and class A drugs.

Supt Graeme Robson, Sefton Police, said: “This is a great result, and I am extremely thankful that another weapon has been taken off our streets before someone could have been seriously injured or killed by it.

“Owning any weapon puts you and the wider public in significant danger and I continue to ask our communities to do the right thing and report anyone they know that might be storing or using one.”

Merseyside police are asking: “Anyone that knows where a weapon is being stored should get in touch as a matter of urgency so we can keep Merseyside a safer place for all.”
