Liverpool’s highly anticipated Sound City Festival is set to return with a gender inclusive line-up in May of this year.

The festival was founded in 2008 and has seen various emerging talent.

The three-day festival captures upcoming artists, with a selection of North-West newcomers such as the Delights and Reignmaker.

Sound City Festival proudly holds its title as the UKs leading festival for Keychange, an initiative whereby they pledge to achieve gender balance across festival line-ups.

The movement takes action to empower underrepresented genders with training, mentoring and network support.

Caity Baser and The Snuts have been announced as headliners for both days of the festival, with many others acts playing.

The UK’s project manager for keychange, Christina Hazboun, said: “Liverpool Sound City Festival has been one of our close partners since 2020, and their unwavering support and commitment to increasing gender diversity has been driven by our mutual beliefs in the necessity of representing women and gender-diverse artists from all walks of life both on and off stage”.
