A teenager has been arrested on suspicion of the robbery of a bike at knifepoint in Litherland, following enquiries.

The 15-year-old from West Derby was taken into questioning by Merseyside Police but has since been released on conditional bail.

The victim, a 13-year-old boy, was with a group of friends near to Sefton Street when they were approached by three men on Monday evening.

One of the men produced a knife and made threats before the bike was taken.

The suspected stolen bike has since been recovered.

The investigation is still ongoing.
