Tyson Fury defeated WWE Superstar Braun Strowman in his professional wrestling debut.

The match took place at the pay-per-view event Crown Jewel in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.

Another Debut

MMA fighter Cain Velasquez also made his WWE debut at the event. Although he was unsuccessful in his fight.

Velasquez lost to bitter rival Brock Lesnar. This was a rematch nine years in the making after Cain defeated Lesnar to become the UFC Heavyweight Champion.

The former MMA fighter was submitted by a kimura lock.

The rest of the event

A happier moment next as Mansoor defeated Cesaro in his home nation.

The OC [Karl Anderson and Luke Gallows] won the biggest tag-team turmoil match in history as they beat out eight other teams to become the ‘Best Tag Team in the World’.

Anderson and Gallows handed the Viking Raiders [Erik and Ivar] their first loss on the main roster.

AJ Styles retained his United States Championship against Humberto Carrillo. Carrillo won the opportunity earlier in the night in a 20-man battle royale.

History was made when Lacey Evans and WWE veteran Natalya took part in the first-ever women’s match in Saudi Arabia.

Natalya would pick up the win by submitting Evans to her families [Hart Family] signature move, the Sharpshooter.

Team [Hulk] Hogan won the five-on-five match against Team [Ric] Flair as Roman Reigns would spear the Viper Randy Orton into oblivion for the three-count.

A New Universal Champion!

The Universal Champion Seth Rollins faced his worst nightmare in The Fiend Bray Wyatt.

An outstanding back and forth match! The Fiend withstood nine stomps from Rollins and was still standing tall.

Wyatt sent the champion crashing through a tower of tables.

The match would reach its crescendo when the two wrestlers found themselves at the top of the ramp.

Rollins superkicked Bray off the ramp into a bunch of crew boxes. But The Fiend would not stay down.

Wyatt latched onto the Beast Slayer with a mandible claw and would then hit his signature move, Sister Abigail.

Fury’s Performance

The Gypsy King put on an impressive showing for his first match, even pulling out a drive-by attack on Strowman.

The boxer would pick up the victory when the Monster Among Men climbed onto the apron and was on the receiving end of a knockout blow.

Strowman was unable to respond to the ten-count and lost the bout.

The wrestler was visibly unhappy and he displayed that when he attacked Fury after the bell. Braun hit Tyson with a running powerslam and retreated to the locker room.

With Fury reportedly earning £11.9 million from the event, something tells us that he will not hesitate for a rematch with the Monster Among Men.
