Transfer talk around a handful of Liverpool players has intensified following yesterday’s 2-2 thriller against Manchester United.

It wasn’t the best of games for Trent Alexander-Arnold, who is still yet to sign a contract extension at Liverpool and has Real Madrid sniffing around him.

Trent is not the only player rumoured with a move away from Merseyside as Liverpool legends Mo Salah and Virgil Van Dijk are also yet to commit their futures to The Reds.

On top of that Uruguayan striker Darwin Nunez and Italian winger Federico Chiesa are both being continually linked with moves away as neither of them have found their feet at Anfield.

Chiesa’s agent said today: “The player is continuing with Liverpool and is seeking the opportunity to participate in the coming period. This is what I can confirm now.”

The Reds looked all but certain to take all three points against a usually, out-of-sorts Manchester United at Anfield on Sunday, but a late goal from big-game wonderkid Amad Diallo denied Arne Slot the opportunity to go eight points clear at the top of the Premier League.

The game was a back and forth affair from the first whistle, with United striking the first blow early in the second half, as Lisandro Martinez slammed the ball into the top of the net from close range.

Liverpool struck back just five minutes later, as Cody Gakpo danced his way through the United defence before whipping the ball into the top right corner.

Slot’s men continued to apply pressure and were rewarded with a penalty, gifted to them by Matthijs De Ligt handling the ball in a flailing challenge. In-form favourite Mo Salah coolly slotted the penalty away and the game was in Liverpool’s hand’s.

However, in the 80th minute young star Amad Diallo haunted Liverpool once more and equalised for the visitor’s.
