A British luxury cruise company announced a world first today with all four Cunard ships set to unite in Liverpool.

Taking place on the 16 May 2028, Queen Mary 2, Queen Elizabeth, Queen Victoria and Queen Anne will come together on the River Mersey, where the company was founded in 1840.

The Cunard ships last united in 2015, when three Queen ships sailed to celebrate the brand’s 175th anniversary and attracting over one million spectators to the waterfront.

The 2028 event will mark the first time that the full fleet of four come together and is anticipated to attract significant crowds and global attention.

Katie McAlister, President of Cunard, said:  “Liverpool is where our story began, and returning with the full fleet is a powerful celebration of that bond. It will be an unforgettable day for our guests, for the city, and for everyone who comes together to enjoy the spectacle from the shore.”

The celebration will also mark the Queen Mary 2 first-ever transatlantic crossing from New York to Liverpool, arriving at the heart of the festivities.

Further details on Cunard’s 2028 voyage and booking dates will be announced soon.
