Three men were arrested yesterday evening for conspiracy to commit burglary after police stopped a vehicle on the M53 motorway in Wirral.

One of the men involved was also arrested on suspicion of driving without a license and drug driving.

This comes as part of Operation Greenfinch alongside detectives at Cheshire Police to address burglaries of high value items committed across South Wirral and Cheshire.

Detective Chief Inspector Pete Stephenson said: “These three arrests are part of our proactive work to ensure we take offenders off our streets.”

Police are urging anyone with CCTV, smart doorbell or dashcam footage of suspicious activity to upload it online for their Operation Castle team.

Detective Stephenson said: “We will continue to work proactively with communities and our partners to keep this progress going.”
