The Bombed Out Church in Liverpool City Centre has been lit up with 2,000 designed steel flowers following a collaboration with Clatterbridge cancer charity and artist Emma Rodgers called the “Garden of Light”.

The event at St Luke’s is to help support local people with cancer, their loved ones who look after them and in memory of those people have loved and lost. All proceeds will go to support local people affected by the disease.

Internationally renowned artist Emma Rodgers, who is a patron of the charity, designed the display.

Personalised messages will be hung from the steel flower petals as a tribute to loved ones who have suffered.

The charity raises money for the Clatterbridge Cancer Centre NHS Foundation Trust, which has cancer centres in Liverpool, Aintree and the Wirral as well as a network of clinics across hospitals in Cheshire and Merseyside.

The illuminated installation is being sponsored by Medicash, the event will run from the 20th for two weeks until December 5th and is on 4pm to 8pm daily.
