Everton Football Club will host the 2026 Betfred Super League Magic weekend on Saturday 4th and 5th July, it was announced this afternoon (Tues 25th).
It will mark the return of Rugby League to Hill Dickinson Stadium following the huge success of the Ashes Test match earlier this month. This match, between England and Australia, was the first major non-football event at the ground and attracted a sell-out crowd.
Rugby League Commercial, a body that works to promote and expand the sport, has confirmed the iconic Magic Weekend will head to iconic Mersey waterfront, with supporters set to enjoy the world class facilities on offer and a vibrant fan-zone, the Budweiser Plaza.
Angus Kinnear, Chief Executive Officer at Everton, said: “We look forward to welcoming supporters from across the rugby league community next July and showcasing, once again, the energy, ambition and hospitality that make Hill Dickinson Stadium and our city region such a special destination for major events.”
Everton season ticket members will be contacted with details of a special sales process giving them exclusive access to purchase tickets for the historic two-day event at their new home.
