Two of Liverpool’s radio stations have teamed up to release a new festive song in support of Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
In Demand Radio and In Demand Decades have joined forces for a fully local festive project.
The new single Crackers for Christmas was written and recorded in Liverpool, sung by the radio presenters, and produced with help from Sound House Studios – an independent recording studio in Litherland.
The heart of the project is the mission to raise money for Alder Hey Children’s Charity, which supports children and families across Merseyside and beyond.

Pre-orders for the Christmas single opened on November 17th, with the music video set to premiere on November 28th. The official release of the festive song lands on December 5th, just in time for the lead-up to Christmas.
The campaign runs until Boxing Day, with every penny raised going directly to Alder Hey Children’s Charity.
A spokesperson for In Demand Radio said: “Alder Hey is such an important part of our community, and we wanted to do something that not only raises money but spreads a bit of joy, too. The whole team have loved getting involved – and we can’t wait for everyone to hear Crackers for Christmas!”

Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, based in West Derby, is one of Europe’s busiest paediatric centres, caring for more than 330,000 patients and families each year.
Fundraising initiatives like this help support funds for equipment, research and education facilities.
Supporters can donate to the campaign directly at crackersforchristmas.com, or by texting CRACKERS to 70480 to donate £5 (plus your standard network rate).
