A charity walk to raise money for a volunteer-run greyhound kennels took place at Sefton Park on Sunday.

Owners who attended the walk, organised by Home Run Hounds North West, were encouraged to dress up their dogs in spooky outfits, making the event both practical and fun.

The money raised will be used to clean, feed and care for the greyhounds, as the only other source of revenue is a small shop in the kennels.

Multiple members of the local greyhound community took part, with several of them having adopted a dog from the kennels previously.

The walk ended with a raffle, a prize for the best dressed dog and was a huge success as three dogs were rehomed and over £100 was raised.

The charity opened on the first of August and their next event will be a Christmas fair on the 7th of December.
