Liverpool Fashion Week at the Linear Hotel featured many talented designers, but one stood out for their innovative and protective styles.
SunSibility, the UK’s specialist in luxury and branded UV protection, aims to provide comfortable and stylish clothing that allows people to enjoy the sun safely.
Designer and founder Angeli Jackson created the brand after studying Product Development for the Fashion Industry at the London College of Fashion in 1996.
The idea came after she met someone living with lupus, a condition that can cause sensitivity to sunlight.
Inspired, she wanted to design clothing that would protect people while still letting them feel fashionable and confident outdoors.
“Everyone can be protected from head to toe but still look really good,” Jackson said.
This marks SunSibility’s third appearance on the Merseyside catwalk, having also featured previously at Cyprus Fashion Week.
The brand’s UV protection comes from the way the fabric is tightly knitted, preventing harmful UV rays from passing through.
Angeli urged the importance of sun safety “I’m not trying to scare monger anyone, I want everyone to enjoy the sun and I just want them to do it safely.”
