Dramatic footage showing one of the towers of the old Royal Liverpool Hospital building collapsing has gone viral on social media.
The video shows the Duncan Building crashing down within moments, sending a large cloud of dust across the demolition site and into the surrounding street.

The demolition of the old Royal Liverpool Hospital buildings started in February, and is currently being undertaken by Birmingham-based demolition contractors, DSM Demolitions.
Natalie Hudson, executive managing director of the Royal Liverpool Hospital said: “Our specialist demolition contractors, DSM, carried out a controlled collapse of a section of the Duncan Building.
“This was to address a build-up of debris at the 10th floor level of the building. This was a controlled process with an immediate clean up in the surrounding areas affected by the dust being undertaken.”
When contacted by MerseyNewsLive, DSM Demolitions declined to comment.
The demolition is expected to be completed in 2026.
