A creative Widnes business has already turned its thoughts towards Easter after serving up Christmas entertainment for more than 3,000 people.
Alibi Productions is looking to bring smiles to the faces of youngsters via an Easter Home visit from the Easter Bunny.
The team overcame lockdown restrictions and last-minute cancellations last year to organise the Elfmas: Letters to Santa event and East Lancashire Railway.
David Gorst, who runs Alibi Productions with his partner Grace Humphreys, said: ‘‘It is extremely important for us to be flexible about what we do.
‘‘Usually, we are working with other entertainers and creatives to put on touring productions, one-off shows, corporate themed events and much more.
‘‘But with the ongoing situation as far as the pandemic is concerned, our diary and that of most people in the creative sector, has been wiped for the last ten months.”
One way in which performers have still been able to continue to get some bookings has been through doorstep visits which have become increasingly popular as families are forced to stay at home.
Grace said: ‘‘We’re looking to provide a little bit of cheer at Easter with a little visit from the Easter Bunny and his assistant.’’
The visit costs £35 and includes a special greeting, song and dance performance, a gift and a socially distanced photograph opportunity.
Grace added: ‘‘We are very conscious of the need to keep everyone safe, and our Christmas event had to undergo stringent inspections before they were allowed to go ahead, so we make sure that all our visits conform to the rules regarding protection from the Covid-19 virus.’’
Alibi Productions has been in business for seven years and has worked on theatrical productions for many of the UK’s best tribute artists including: Let Me Entertain You – The Robbie Williams story; Beautiful Trauma – A Tribute to Pink and True Colors – Cyndi Lauper Tribute, alongside studio recording projects for a cruise, theatre and holiday parks.
