A substantial amount of Kingfisher Tuna has been stolen in Knowsley this morning, sparking a police investigation.

It was reported at 6:25am that two men had forced entry into Knowsley Industrial Park, stealing twenty pallets of tuna from the back of a trailer.

The theft was believed to have occurred between 2-5:30am, with a truck arriving to removing the produce.

Merseyside Police are now appealing for people to come forward with information.

Detective Chief Inspector Leanne Toole said: “We take all reports of thefts from businesses extremely seriously because of the detrimental impact it can have on staff and the wider community.

“We would encourage anyone who has been offered Kingfisher tuna in unusual circumstances since the incident, or anyone with information about retail crime to get in touch so we can investigate.”
