A man has been arrested in Roby after multiple jars of cannabis were found in a car.
Police stopped a car on Gidlow Road in a routine traffic stop at around 7pm on Monday, December 1.
Officers identified a strong smell of cannabis and upon searching the vehicle, they found multiple bags and jars of the Class B drug.
The 36-year-old man was then arrested on suspicion of drug driving and being concerned with the supply of Class B drugs.
A house in Roby was then searched and a large amount of white powder (suspected to be cocaine), cannabis, cash and scales were found.
The man was further arrested on suspicion of possession of Class A drugs, cocaine and criminal property.
Detective Inspector James Rotheram said: “Thanks to a proactive routine stop by our officers a large amount of dangerous drugs were uncovered and removed from our streets in Liverpool.
“Stop searches, warrants, and arrests take place all year round so that our officers can stop those involved in drug dealing across Merseyside and keep our communities safe.”
Police urge anyone with information on drug dealing and criminality in their area to get in contact with them via X @MerPolCC or on Facebook ‘Merseyside Police Contact Centre, so that they can continue to take action.
