A teenager has been arrested following a scrambler bike seizure in Bootle

On Friday, November 21, officers saw a male riding an off-road motorcycle dangerously on Stuart Road and onto Taylors Lane.

A 15-year-old boy from Walton was arrested on suspicion of driving a vehicle without a licence and without insurance. He has been released under investigation pending further enquiries.

Operation Gears is Merseyside Police’s response to the illegal use of bikes including electric and electrically assisted bikes by criminals, who regularly steal them to transport drugs and weapons around Merseyside.
