Women-led community groups across Merseyside and Lancashire have been granted a lifeline donation of £6000, aimed at improving the lives of women and girls across the region.
The Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside (CLFM) provide vital assistance to grassroots organisations who are most marginalised, through small scale interventions.

Since its establishment in 2018, its Women’s Fund has distributed over £650,000 to small, women-led groups focused on tackling inequality, supporting wellbeing and creating opportunities for women to thrive.
The latest donation from Swansway Motor Group will ensure that this critical work continues to flourish.
John Smyth, Director at Swansway Motor Group said: “As a family business based in the North West, community really matters to us.”
“Partnering with the Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside means we can support causes that make a real, lasting difference to people’s lives.”
Rae Brooke, CEO at CFLM, said: “We are incredibly grateful to Swansway Motor Group for their £6000 donation to our Women’s Fund. Since 2018, the fund has donated over £650000 to grassroots, women-led organisations across Lancashire and Merseyside.”
“The only way this vital work is possible through the support of donors like Swansway. It’s wonderful to see local businesses step forward and invest in their community and create positive change.”
The Community Foundations for Lancashire and Merseyside (CFLM) works with individuals, families and businesses to channel charitable giving where it can have the greatest impact. Since 1999, it has distributed over £77 million to grassroots organisations across the region.
CLFM is part of a national network of 47 UK Community Foundations and a global movement of place-based giving that’s helping to build stronger, fairer giving.
