Liverpool Residents are left with no choice but to travel into town centre after branches plan too close down.

Barclays in Allerton and NatWest in Old Swan will see the opening of their doors for the last time in coming weeks. The reasoning behind the closures is all to do wit footfall becoming less and less in these specific branches. Digital online banking seems to be taking prioritization over customers having social interaction with staff. This has led to voluntary redundancies for some staff members, as well as some moving branches to keep their job.

Many Liverpudlians disagree with these closures and feel they are being forgotten about. Both Prescot and Allerton road are vibrant parts of the community. It comes as a shock to Allerton local Richard Jamieson, who shared how he felt with Mersey News Live.
