Over £70,000 has been raised for the family of teenager Brianna Ghey.
The sixteen year old was stabbed to death in Linear park in Culcheth, Warrington, on Saturday afternoon.
Brianna was transgender and a popular video creator on TikTok. Both fans of her videos and the LGTBQ+ community are distraught after the young girl’s death.
Cheshire police are saying the attack was targeted, but are not treating it as a hate crime. A 15-year-old boy and girl are being questioned on suspicion of murder.
Her body was found by members of the public at 3pm on Saturday, and a candlelit vigil is to be held across the UK for the schoolgirl tonight.
Brianna’s family said she “brought a lot of laughter to those who knew her” and that “the loss of her young life has a left a massive hole in our family”.
