Hundreds gather in Liverpool to protest against the enforcement of vaccines

Protestors from all over the Northwest gathered in Liverpool to condemn the government's enforcement of vaccines. They claim the rules take away a democratic right to freedom of choice. But health workers on the front line, refusing the vaccine is putting peoples' lives at risk. Mersey News reporter Ryan Gorman has been following the story.

According to government figures around 139 million COVID-19 vaccinations have now been administered across all 4 nations of the UK as part of the largest vaccination programme in British history.

While the latest NHS figures show nearly 60% of the North West’s population over the age of 12 have now received their third jab. But the uptake in Liverpool remains low, at around 47 percent.
