St Helens is offering a full calendar of festive, free activities for all the family this Christmas.
A winter tipi lodge will come to the town centre, where free arts and crafts activities will be available for all ages to enjoy.
The festive lodge will be located on the former Chalon Way multi-storey car park in Foundry Street as part of the ‘Christmas in St Helens’ campaign.
A synthetic ice rink and an American-style drive in cinema will also be one of the local attractions.
Activities offered will include textile workshops and a Christmas card class.
Oli Johnson, St Helens resident, said: “Even though St Helens has got a sour reputation, these events will show that there are positive things about the area.
“Hopefully the Christmas stuff will bring people to St Helens over the festive season who wouldn’t normally come here.”
The tipi is set to launch this Saturday, November 27.
The town’s Christmas lights switch-on will also take place on Saturday, with comedy folk band The Lancashire Hotspots headlining the event.
