Liverpool City Council says it is seeking clarification as to the future of the roadworks outside Lime Street station.
The company employed by the council, Nottinghamshire-based construction firm NCMN, has called in administrators after failing to restructure its finances
Last week the city council said the multi-million-pound scheme to revamp Liverpool’s roads was running to time. Now officers have been ensuring the safety of the area which remains sealed off.
