Anti-abortion and pro-choice campaigners came face to face in Liverpool at a protest that led to scuffles among the groups.

Members of the Centre For Bio-Ethical Reform UK (CBRUK), who say they are an organisation that protects children and mothers from future abortion, were handing out leaflets and displayed banners outside the Victoria Building on Brownlow Hill.

They were then met by another group of people describing themselves as pro-choice and women’s right advocates.

The group had banners and microphones of their own highlighting women’s rights to choose.
