Merseyside Police are appealing for information following three reports of sexual offences in Liverpool, which police believe may be linked.

The three incidents happened in February and March.

On Sunday 22 February, there was a report of a man approaching a woman in Calderstones Park. The woman, in her 20s, first had a conversation with the man who, then hugged her and tried to kiss her.

On Tuesday 3 March, it was reported that a different woman, also in her 20s, faced the exact same set of circumstances.

On Monday 2 March, there was a report of a man allegedly inappropriately touching himself in Parklands Library, Speke. He was also reportedly acting suspiciously.

Merseyside Police are investigating the incidents and are appealing for anyone with information to come forward. They describe the suspect as being a white man in his 60s, around 6 feet tall, with grey hair.

Detective Inspector Mike Fletcher said: “We continue to carry out inquiries into all three incidents and we believe the same male could be responsible.

“I know these reported incidents will be alarming for the local community, but please be assured that we are taking each report extremely seriously and we are determined to find the suspect.

“If you witnessed any of these incidents or believe you know who this person could be, then please get in touch.”
