The attraction, which has recently been rebranded from the Halloween Lakeside Trail, has amassed over 800,000 views on TikTok and 500,000 views on Instagram.

Halloweenville event organiser Callum Morgan says: “We’ve had an absolutely phenomenal response from fans of Halloween since we shared our new video on our social channels. People have really responded to what we’re offering and have tagged family and friends – as well as taking advantage of our early bird ticket offer.

“We’ve had people from all over the country trying to establish how far it is from their house. We have people from the south coast of England and even France asking where the event is, but we do think they may be a little bit out of our normal catchment area!”

The attraction was due to open its doors on Friday but with strong winds and heavy rain, because of Storm Amy, it was decided to postpone its official launch for 48 hours.

Other spooky spectacles include: the award winning Newsham Scream Park  at Newsham Park Hospital, perfect for families with older children or adults. While perhaps the regions most successful scare event Farmaggedon has returned once again at Farmer Teds, it has been voted as one of the top 25 haunts in the world.

If spooky nights are not your thing maybe pumpkin picking is?
