Four different distance charity runs took place in Croxteth Park this Saturday 16th November, all in support of men’s health.

The month of November comes hand in hand with raising awareness for Movember, a men’s health campaign.

Morunning is a Movember themed running events company who organise runs all across the UK in hopes of raising money and awareness to men’s health.

“Movember is the only charity tackling men’s health on a global scale, year round. Movember raises funds & awareness for prostate cancer, testicular cancer, mental health and suicide prevention.”

The event includes a kids’ mini 1.5k, 5k, 10k and half marathon, keeping the event open to as many abilities as possible.

Edward Cockroft, an events manager for the event, said: “The different distances caters to different peoples abilities, the goal is to get everyone out and about.”

Morunning started as a 10k run in Greenwich and slowly spread across the globe, including Australia, reaching 20 locations this year. It had an initial goal of raising £100,000 which has already been reached and is currently at just under £110,000.

Hundreds of people got involved and collectively helped raise £5245.59.
