Every year, around 16,000 people are diagnosed with a new cancer in Merseyside and Cheshire.
But here in Liverpool, we are home to one of the UK’s leading cancer centres, providing first-rate care to those who need it.
Clatterbridge Cancer Centre is spread across three locations in Merseyside: Aintree, Wirral, and Liverpool city centre. Here they care for a population of 2.4 million people across Cheshire and Merseyside and the surrounding areas, including North Wales and the Isle of Man.
This Christmas, you could make a difference and help people with cancer by supporting Clatterbridge’s Fairy Appeal.
By donating £20 or above, you can dedicate a fairy to someone special, whether it’s to celebrate a life, give thanks or show love.
MerseyNewsLive spoke with Tom and Karen from the Clatterbridge Cancer Charity, who explained the significance of the campaign.
The money raised from the campaign makes an unmistakeable difference. You are contributing directly to the research, treatment and care of people living with cancer.
But if you’ve missed your chance to dedicate a fairy, don’t worry – the Fairy Appeal is not the only way you can support Clatterbridge Cancer Charity. Throughout the year Clatterbridge give you the opportunity to take part in activities and events that make a difference.
In this day and age, a like and a share is just as valuable as a donation. By following Clatterbridge Cancer Charity on social media (linked below), you can help raise awareness and spread the word about events, fundraisers and news coming directly from Clatterbridge hospitals.
So whether it’s a donation, a fun run or a thumbs up, consider helping out Clatterbridge Cancer Charity this Christmas, and make a difference for people living with cancer.
