A documentary has been released on BBC iPlayer documenting Liverpool Royal University Hospital’s move to its new site.
The new hospital has a total of 640 beds with en-suite facilities as well as 18 operating theatres for both in-patient and day-case surgeries. It’s state of the art facilities are also home to 40 critical are beds for patients in intensive care unit (ICU) and high dependency unit (HDU).
The 30-minute documentary by BBC North West, titled Operation Relocation: Hospital on the Move follows the journey of staff and patients as they prepare to relocate to the new hospital.
