February half term is just a couple of weeks away, so we’ve had a look at some of the top attractions in the city. Here are Mersey News Live’s top days out for families around Liverpool in February half-term.
RLB 360
Heritage Great Britain opened Royal Liver Building 360 in 2019, which for the first time ever allowed the public to visit and tour inside the iconic landmark.
Visitors will experience panoramic views of the whole city from one of the most recognizable landmarks in the world, and will be amazed by a state of the art audio-visual experience inside the clock tower.
It was recently crowned as the ‘Most Remarkable Venue in UK and Ireland’, and was in the final shortlist for the best visitor attractions in the world.
This will be a brilliant experience that you will not soon forget.
Spring City
Spring City is Liverpool’s first ever city centre trampoline park, based at Brunswick docks. It contains over 100 interconnected trampolines and a dodgeball court.
Trampoline parks are a great option as kids of all ages can enjoy them, and it will most likely ensure the kids sleep all night when they get home.
The Beach
Next on out list of top days out is the beach. There are many beaches around the region that are a great day out for the whole family (weather permitting).
Places like Formby, Crosby, West Kirby and Southport are all fantastic choices for a day out if the sun is shining.
This is a good option as you don’t have to pre-book, and can just turn up if the February weather allows it.
Liverpool World Museum
Liverpool World Museum has been one of the most popular attractions in Liverpool for many years.
Right in the heart of the city, it is a fun experience for all ages, and gives children an interesting way to learn about history, science and culture from all over the world.
It is of course free, so if money is tight, it is a great option.
Their events that are taking place during half term can be found here.
Knowsley Safari Park
Finally on our list of top days out is Knowsley Safari Park, which includes brilliant attractions such as a 5-mile Safari Drive, Foot Safari, animal shows and displays and of course the famous monkey jungle.
They don’t have any special events for half-term yet, but at weekends they have various Kids Clubs, which are for children up to 18-years-old. These can be found here.
They have multiple offers that are available all year round, under 3s go free, carers go free, and they offer a military discount.
