Merseyside Police are appealing for information following the stabbings of two men in Sefton.
Police were called following report of a man in his 20s being stabbed in Litherland.
The incident is believed to have happened on Pendle Drive near Perfecto Takeaway.
Police believe three men arrived on a motorbike and attacked the man before leaving.
The victim is in hospital with a stab wound in the groin and is in a stable condition.
Police were later called to Bridge Road in Seaforth at 1.45am following the stabbing of another man in his 20s.
The incident is believed to have taken place close to Seaforth and Litherland Station on Seaforth Road.
Police believe the suspects are two young men who followed the man before attacking him.
The victim is in hospital with stab wounds to his face and torso and is in a stable condition.
Detective Chief Inspector Gayle Rooney said: “The use of knives can cause devastation and both victims will be extremely distressed to have experienced such attacks, and through luck alone were not more seriously injured.
“We’re committed to responding to all information from those communities affected and seize weapons and arrest suspects on a daily basis.
“This is only possible with the help of those who live in the area. So tell us what you know and we will do the rest.”
