An event organised by the Unnamed Exhibition raised over £500 for charity at an event held on the 12th of June.

Unnamed Exhibition are a non-profit group comprised of three members: Charlotte Barry (founder), Lex Roberts (creative director) and Becca Roslyn (communications and writer).
The group runs fundraiser events that have set themes, often targeting specific social issues in order to raise money to support charities.
A variety of artists came down to perform and support the cause, taking no money for themselves, in an event that lasted all evening.
Performances ranged from poets to painters, and multiple sets from local musicians.
Performing artists included Hayley Lynn Gordon (poetry), Julia Staromlynska (musician), Reese O’Neill (musician), Blueprint (band), Lynn Dossenbach (musician) and Martzia (artist).
The event was held at Half Space, a coffee shop/venue in the Baltic Triangle.

At their latest event, the exhibition successfully raised approximately £500 for Refugee Women Connect.
The money was raised through ticket sales, donations, a raffle, and a bake sale, which was held in collaboration with a group called Students for Refugee Action, who can be found here.
Refugee Women Connect is a non-profit, woman-only charity that supports asylum seekers, refugees, and survivors of trafficking, by helping them to build a secure foundation in the UK.
In an interview with Charlotte Barry, they said this about the charity and the cause:
“We’ve been operating for 2 years or so, off the top of my head.
“We’ve done about six or seven events now ranging from art exhibitions and magazine launches, to fundraisers like this one.
“They (Refugee Women Connect) help women get settled in the UK, as often it isn’t the easiest place to find your footing.
“They help women to get jobs and the paperwork they need to be able to stay here, as well as provide the support they need to feel welcome and safe in the UK.”

During the event, artist Martzia gave a small talk in which she discussed her pride in the project, and shared her own lived experience.
Unnamed exhibition recently announced their next show, set to be their biggest to date with up to 150 tickets available for purchase.
The theme for this event is ‘Inner Voice’, and a creative call-out has been placed for artists to get involved.
