The upcoming Birkenhead festival will have a positive impact on the area according to event organiser Shelley Bond.
The ‘We are Wirral Family Festival’ will take place in Birkenhead Park over the weekend of 18th July.
Event organiser Shelley Bond said the 91 hectare park is the ideal venue for the event. She said: “It’s absolutely perfect in terms of location being so central to the Wirral. We’re aiming for visitors to walk or use the excellent public transport links to the festival.
“It’s incredibly picturesque and allows us the space to do some fantastic activities other than the music stages.”

Headliners for the event include Welsh Rock band Feeder and English singer Example.
Other artists The Feeling, The Hoosiers, Pixie Lott, Newton Faulkner, Woody Cook, Dick and Dom, Sandi Thom, Elvana, Michael Aldag, and The South will also take to the stage.
In a jam-packed event, Mrs Bond said the festival will provide “something for everyone” with kayaking, tree climbing, paddle boarding, survival skills, slacklining and frisbee golf all taking place at the event.
This entertainment comes alongside a handmade theatre, family circus, actual reality arcade, grand cavalcade and funfair.
Stalls with food and drink sourced from local Wirral vendors will also be available at the festival.
It is anticipated that around 5000 visitors will be in attendance across the weekend with space to accommodate many more.

Mrs Bond continued:
“We are Wirral is all about delivering an affordable, safe and enjoyable family music festival for all ages.
“I think the impact will be hugely positive, bringing a great wealth of local communities together to enjoy awesome music acts and family fun activities an incredible public park and also deliver an economic lift to the area with people visiting out of town.”
The event is offering a launch offer at the moment with adult day tickets costing £25.
The intention is for the event to become a fixed event on the Wirral calendar.
