Police in St Helens have arrested eight people after a drugs bust in St Helens found Class A drugs and cash in properties across the town.
Around £20,000 was seized along with cocaine, crack cocaine, cannabis and ketamine at numerous properties following coordinated warrants last Friday, 25 April.
All eight have since been released on bail pending further enquires.
St Helens Local Policing Sergeant Louis Mutch said: “Last Friday was a coordinated operation by officers and staff from across the force, which forms part of an ongoing investigation.
We are acutely aware of the harm caused by those we suspect of being involved in drug supply. We will continue to work tirelessly to disrupt and target such criminal groups.”
The police have issued a plea for anyone to contact them if they have any information regarding drug dealing, storage or any other crime.
