Taking Public Transport.
To begin your journey as a carbon conscious person, an easy way to reduce your footprint this year is to take more public transport. Liverpool has a great range of ways to get you from A to B. From trains, to buses, to ferries, Merseyside has it all. On top of that, a new range of metro trains that came 2023, also a new fleet of electric buses means there is no better time to drop that gas guzzling car and take the cheaper and greener way to travel.
Shop Sustainably.
In 2025 its time to drop fast fashion and move towards a more sustainable way of expressing yourself. You can do this by buying second hand or from charity shops, to raise money whilst looking swag. Liverpool has a good selection of second-hand shops if you make your way up the iconic bold street.
Reduce, Reuse, Recycle.
In 2019 alone, plastic waste generated1.8 billion metric tonnes of greenhouse emissions. You can help reduce this number this year by reducing the amount of plastic you are using. You can do this by using a reusable water bottle, coffee cup, and carrying bags. You can also avoid using excessive packaging if possible. Whenever this is not possible, you can recycle effectively by making sure what you are throwing away is clean and dry.
