Christmas is over, the decorations are down and all many people are left with is a dried out, sad-looking tree.
Luckily Liverpool City Council is offering recycling points for residents to dispose of their Christmas trees from January 2-24.
One such location is Stanley Park car park against the backdrop of Anfield Stadium.
Residents had dropped off trees which were being picked up there everyday and by 11am on Monday morning, there were already five formerly festive trees in sight.
One resident drove a van with his tree to take advantage of the scheme in the car park and said: “I got my tree online before Christmas and it’s good because the council said you can just dump it and it’s free.”
