The countdown to Christmas is on – and Liverpool has been transformed into a magical winter wonderland.

Whether you’re a local or visiting for the festive season, here are seven best festive things to enjoy in Liverpool this December:

 

 

  1. Visit the Liverpool Christmas Market

Located outside St George’s Hall, the Liverpool Christmas Market is the ultimate place to soak up the festive spirit. The market is filled with food, beverages and independent stalls selling handmade crafts and unique Christmas gifts. You can treat yourself to a mulled wine, a hot chocolate with all the toppings, or everyone’s favourite the Yorkshire pudding wrap 

The market is open every day until December 24.

2. Be dazzled by The Light Before Christmas

Liverpool Cathedral return with their Light Before Christmas display. The immersive light and sound experience creates a breath-taking visual journey of the Nativity, curated by the Luxmuralis Team.

3. Experience the Everyman Rock ‘n Roll Panto 

Follow Rapunzel through her hair-tangling journey at the Everyman’s Rock ‘n Roll pantomime. Unlike any other, the cast perform and play music live on stage as they bring to the fairy-tale story to life.

The Everyman Rock n Roll panto, Rapunzel, will be running until January 18. You can book tickets here.

4. Enjoy a night of country music at Leaf on Bold St

Ellis Murphy, local country/folk singer-songwriter, returns with his final ‘See What I See’ showcase. The evening will see performances from Ellis, James Jackson, Miles Temp and The Kowloons.

5. Breakfast with Santa at Liverpool Cathedral

Join the Liverpool Cathedral for a morning of festive fun at their Breakfast with Santa event. The ticket includes a delicious two-course breakfast buffet in the Cathedral with a table visit from Father Christmas himself.

6. Stroll around the Royal Albert Docks

Grab yourself a cup of hot chocolate from one of the local cafe’s and take a relaxing evening stroll around the docks. This year the docks have been dressed up in twinkling lights and displays for you to enjoy throughout the festive season.

7. Explore the Liverpool ONE Winter Wonderland

Liverpool ONE goes all out for Christmas with its dazzling lights and giant Christmas reindeer. Christmas on the Park runs until December 31 with festive games, rides and food. Shoppers can enjoy late-night hours to find the perfect gifts and don’t miss Bar Hutte, a pop-up bar, for festive drinks with friends.
