Charlotte Grant from Kirkby will travel to Vietnam this September after being chosen to represent the UK in Miss Cosmo UK 2024.
The international beauty pageant which will be in Vietnam is set to take place in September of this year.
The 24 year old, who has her own cosmetics company, came first runner up in the Miss England competition that happened earlier this year, having already been crowned Miss Liverpool.
In Miss England 2024, she became the top fundraiser, raising money for the charity Balls to Cancer.
According to her JustGiving page, she has raised over £7,000 for the charity Balls to Cancer.
As part of her many charitable fundraisers, she has taken part in a variety of activities including abseiling off the iconic Anfield stadium earlier this year to raise money and awareness.
“Being chosen by Angie Beasley the Director of Miss England to attend Miss Cosmo in Vietnam is an incredible honour and an exciting opportunity for me. I feel a mix of joy, pride and gratitude”, she said
“It is an absolute dream come true to represent my country on such an esteemed platform and to connect with inspiring women from all around the world”.
“This opportunity means a great deal to me, both personally and professionally. It’s a chance to showcase not only my talents and hard work but also to bring attention to causes I am passionate about. I hope to use this platform to inspire others and to make a positive impact”.
“The journey to this point has been challenging yet rewarding. It has involved a lot of dedication, preparation and support from my family, friends and mentors.
“I participated in several preliminary competitions, underwent rigorous training, and stayed committed to my goals. Each step brought me closer to this achievement and once again I cannot thank Angie Beasley enough for her continued support and belief in me”.
On Charlottes incredible efforts, director of Miss England Angie Beasley said: “Charlotte did incredibly well in the Miss England final, considering she was one of the last finalists to qualify”.
“In just a few weeks she managed to raise the most funds by working hard within her community proving she’s a true ‘Beauty with a Purpose’, the ethos of Miss England & Miss World”.
“Charlotte was also first runner up in both the sports round & the We Do Ethical fashion round. Charlotte’s mum must be so proud to see good use being made of her former wedding dress, it looked amazing on the catwalk!”
“The sports round was run by former Royal Marine Lee Stuart and was so tough a few finalists just couldn’t get through it and had to drop out due to exhaustion”.
“The determination and effort that Charlotte put in to the Miss England contest is testament to her character & she deserved to be rewarded. When the organisers of Miss Cosmo International approached us to send representatives to their contest in Vietnam, Charlotte was naturally our first choice”.
“Charlotte will be going with the second Runner up, Prison Officer Melissa Butcher from Lancaster to the contest in Vietnam and I’m sure she will have the trip of a lifetime”.
“I’m very proud of all Charlotte has achieved in Miss England she’s been a fantastic finalist and I wish her all the best going forward”.
