The first ever Liverpool Book Festival will take place on September 7 this year, to celebrate literary talent in the region.
The new event, at Invisible Wind Factory on Regent Road, will feature a host of award-winning authors and a diverse range of genres for all book lovers.
From autobiographies to thrillers, sci-fi to romance, and children’s literature to comedy, the festival promises something for every reader.
Among the guests to appear are multi-award-winning comedian Gary Skyner, and punk icon Phil Jones who will be performing live at the event.
There will also be performances from local artists, including Primal Live song contest champion Sam Leyden.
The festival will also host Q&A sessions with a line-up of distinguished speakers, including renowned novelist Ramsey Campbell and radio presenter Billy Butler, with more to be announced.
Additionally, there will be a variety of street food vendors and artisan products, enhancing the overall event.
Organised by La Vida Liverpool, a local magazine, marketing, and PR company, the Liverpool Book Festival aims to create a supportive platform for local authors.
The event will connect writers with fellow authors, publishers, and industry experts while providing an excellent opportunity for them to sell their works directly to enthusiastic readers.
For fans of literature, this festival presents a unique chance to meet authors, engage in discussions, and have their books signed in person.
The festival promises to be a significant event for the literary community, fostering connections and celebrating the joy of reading.
La Vida Liverpool’s Justin Hopper said: “As a writer myself, I am passionate about supporting creatives and I’m proud to have done that really well through La Vida these past 7 years.
“With Liverpool Book Festival, I’m aiming to take that one step further for writers – connecting them with book lovers in a fun event with loads going on!
“I’m making it really affordable for all too – that’s very important to me.”
