Although things are back on track, knock on affects are still ongoing, like lime street station where trains to Manchester have been cancelled all day.

Two commuters were waiting since 8am for their train to Manchester for their job, 3 hours later they were still waiting. One of the commuters said: “our shift ends at 4 o’clock so obviously went to e there three hours ago.”

“The latest we could get to work now is 1pm, so we’ve missed half our shift already and it’s really inconvenient.”

The blanket of snow put Liverpool as a yellow weather warning and is set to continue during this icy period.

The Met Office says: “Icy stretches are expected to develop due to ongoing wet surfaces following earlier rain and, in places, snowmelt. Frequent sleet or snow showers are also expected to affect Wales and parts of northwest and southwest England moving into the Midlands and parts if southern England moving into the midlands and parts of southern England during the rest of the night.”

The weather doesn’t seem to be improving, and temperatures will be reaching one degrees on Wednesday morning. Wrap up walm and keep an eye out for train cancellations on railway apps to figure out alternative travels.
