Uber’s pay cut is making drivers “irritated”, following the festive period.

According to Startupdaily.net, Uber take 27.5% from their drivers’ total fare, making them earn little to no money for different jobs.

Aaron Beckinsale, who has been driving for Uber for two years said: “It’s been hard to find jobs over the Christmas period, I’m still just managing to stay afloat, but it’s just genuinely awful.”

Many drivers are also saying that it is hard to live on Uber’s pay, without taking into account petrol money or cancellation fees, which are £0.26 per minute in Merseyside (according to Uber’s website).

Some in the area are even considering changing companies, with some of them saying Delta or Alpha taxis is the “better option” for pay.
