A new show on ITV delves deep into the mind of a Scouse serial killer.
Until I Kill You aired earlier this month on ITV, telling the story of Delia Balmer (Anna Maxwell Martin) surviving the near-fatal relationship that she had with John Sweeney (Shaun Evans) in the 1990s.
Sweeney was arrested in 2001 for the attempted murder of Balmer and was given four life sentences.
Critic Scott Bryan told the BBC: “Anna Maxwell-Martin, of course, she’s been in Line of Duty, Motherland, I think this is her greatest role to date – she is completely compelling.”
The four-part series is based on Delia Balmer’s 2017 memoir, Living with a Serial Killer.
